Glock 21 Slide Release - I have had this lever for a few months now on my 17. This Sure Touch lever is well worth the money. While the original Glock 17 gen4 lever worked well, the Sure Touch does the original well. The Sure Touch lever provides the longest lever that allows me to release the slide without adjusting my grip and allows me to reload a magazine and quickly get back on target. Serrated thumb platform has the right grip but not sharp to the touch, longer than any on the market, large angel thumb platform easy to find and push to release, attractive polished metal finish, well built product and thoughtful If you like the need to adjust handle to release the slide or push the stock one, this lever is for you. Next time I will buy another one for my 22nd.
The Sure Touch Extended Slide Stop Lever is the perfect solution to the frustration experienced when trying to manipulate the OEM Glock stop lever. I spent days looking for a replacement part and then found the Sure Touch. The G30 is my first Glock (I'm actually a Sig collector) and I've come to realize that the perfection of Glock isn't about the firearm packages they offer, it's about the design that makes it easy to stock parts. exchange for parts parts well thought out. I have already upgraded to TFX Pro Sights, Pearce magazine grips, extended slide release/disassembly lever and extended slide stop lever. The trigger has yet to be replaced. I rated the Sure Touch 4 stars as I wouldn't consider it a good value at $35.95. I would rate it 5 stars if it was priced at $24.95. However, I wasn't willing to let the price decide which slide stop I buy because I'm sure this product is the best out there.

There are other models available, including on this site, but none offer the same surface area for quick activation during a magazine change. I was asked to change my grip position to handle the OEM version. It required too much focus because it did not extend far enough outside the frame to promote positive contact. This was the second part I replaced on my Glock. The first part was the OEM chip release as I struggled with it during disassembly. Changeover time was about 2 minutes as the holding pin was never removed and insisted on being stubborn. Very easy installation. I think Lenny M. made a video showing the switching process.
Not only is the leverage longer (it sticks out more in your hand), it's also higher than the stock option. Both of these make it much easier to hit the slide stop lever than the stock lever.
This item fits the look I was trying to achieve and works well. I am left handed and can use my trigger finger to contact the slide tip lever and lock the slide back as well as release it. It looks and works the way you want it to.
I just bought this for my G21 gen 4 and it looked smaller than the picture shows so I wasn't too surprised at first. Then you install it and try it out and find that it has all the grip and size you need on top that fits the gun well. I'm sure the other options are great too, just this one fits my thumb really well and looks great on the gun.

If you are a right-handed shooter and your grip has your right thumb on top of your left thumb, you will likely experience the same problems as me.
The upper thumb will come into contact with this thing and accidentally move the lock in the middle of a string.
Change the grip to an upper thumb under the left thumb like a turret grip or cut the thumb off or remove the slide stop.
Also in each of the 4 units I bought they all had the wire spring bent outwards so it required bending back and straightening before it could be inserted into the frame.

I recently bought a G30 Gen4 and could not get the slide stop to move. The "safe touch extended slide stop lever" made the slide stop work as easily as my other Glocks that I put thousands of rounds through. I'm glad I don't have to fight for a period break or resort to filing.
My second hand G27 gen 2.5 already had this upgrade and I have the factory extended lever and think that was what I had. After installing the factory extended version I noticed how much I preferred the feel and function of the Sure Touch so I put it back and factory extended as a temporary backup for if and when I wait for another Sure Touch . arrive I highly recommend the Sure Touch. Don't be turned off by the cost. Jackson's bonus is worth it. Also, the only time I've had an inadvertent slide lock issue while shooting was when the spring wasn't set correctly. It must be located directly below the lock block pin for proper spring tension and operation.
I finally got this for my Gen4 G17 and I feel like I made the right decision. It definitely has more surface area and is very easy when changing magazines or just working on the firearm. So far I haven't had any issues with the slide lock making contact with my thumb during operation, but I also have thin fingers so that might negate the problem. etc. This is a nice OEM+ looking mod that I think was worth it.
However, as someone mentioned earlier, the spring is bent outwards for some reason and will need to be guided into the correct position during installation, not sure how or why that is, but it is. A minor annoyance compared to the benefit of the piece itself.

Great quick and easy upgrade to any Glock. Took it to the range and love how easy it is to handle. Would definitely recommend to every Glock, worth every penny.
This extended slide stop was many times better than the OEM slide stop. This makes it very easy to lock back the slide and release the carriage without adjusting the grip. Installation only took a few minutes and was pretty easy, but I had to hold the spring against the lever a bit since it didn't line up like the OEM when I pulled it out.
I can't use this part because of the Glock shop. I'm that guy who needs the ad to say, "NOT for a 2-pin Glock"
When I ordered it I somehow thought it would work on my 2 pin g26 because the ad says "works on all 3rd gen or built after 2002 glocks". I had no idea that Glock went from 3-pin to 2-pin during the third generation.

I opened this package and tried to fit it in before looking up information on the history of the glock g26 and the whole 2 pin vs 3 pin debate. And yes, there are debates. Anyway, I hardly feel good about returning it. Stick with it, I guess.
So for those who want to know, it appears to be a quality piece. It is silver in color - the picture here shows it well. For me and my build, it doesn't go well with my polished stainless or chrome parts.
As for this part, make sure it will work in your build and keep in mind how different the 2 and 3 pins are.
This version was installed on my G20sf and really made a difference in how easy it is to release the slide without moving the grip, especially on this full size frame. Heck, even the wife can do it now with that extra extension available. I put these releases on ALL my Glocks and people marvel at how well they work. I can't figure out WHY Glock doesn't upgrade these versions themselves, but at least there is a fix for their small chip versions. Get one!
